A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and hand back on later visits. This page lists every one Pdfect is involved in, and what each is for.

Strictly necessary cookies

None. Pdfect needs no cookie to work. There are no accounts to stay logged into and no server-side session to keep track of, because the tools run entirely in your browser.

Analytics cookies

None. Our analytics is deliberately cookie-free: it counts a page view without storing anything on your device and without building a profile that follows you between visits or across other sites.

Local storage (not a cookie)

Pdfect uses your browser's local storage for one thing: a flag recording that you dismissed the "this page is available in another language" suggestion, so it does not appear again. Local storage differs from a cookie in the way that matters here — it is never attached to network requests, so it is never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browsing data removes it.

The site also registers a service worker, which caches Pdfect's own code so the tools keep working with no connection. It stores the site's files, never your documents.

Advertising cookies

Pdfect is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent banner asks you before any advertising cookie is set, and you can decline. Declining does not restrict any tool on this site — everything stays free and unlimited either way.

You can review and change these choices at any time:

How to control cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either for all sites or one site at a time, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking cookies will not break anything here: no Pdfect tool depends on one.
